So how does the Mimio interactive work. After you have installed the Mimio software (called Mimio Studio), simply unfold the Mimio interactive module .
Plug in the USB cable (or use the optional wireless adapter) to the module and the other end to your computer.
Stick the module to the whiteboard (suction caps or adhesive strips provided).

Power up your projector and then the Mimio module.
In order for the Mimio device to determine the location of the pen stylus that you will use it is necessary to calibrate the device. This only takes a few seconds and is usually only necessary if the Mimio device has been moved. To start the calibration, simply press the calibration button on the Mimio device and you get this screen.

Then simply press the stylus on the first calibration point and the next calibration point will immediately appear. Repeat pressing the stylus for the next seven calibration points. In total this will take about 10 seconds.
That’s it. The board is now interactive. You can run all the applications that you normally use but from the board, with the added ability of being able to write (or markup) on the screen using a palette of vibrant colours.
Using the software you also have access to a vast, customisable set of graphics. Imagine be able to open a woodland scene and then using the stylus, add animals and plants. Any images that are available from the internet can be displayed and marked up (subject to copyright).
Other useful parts of the software include the spot light and the reveal tool.
